Is the London Community Meetup run by Twitch?
Twitch very kindly allow us to run events for their community, but we are not owned or managed by them as a company.
The MeetUp was set up by Fremily and has grown exponentially since the first official event back on 1st April 2017.
How do I claim a ticket?
When tickets become available for an event, it will be listed on the Twitch MeetUps site. You must join the London ‘Chapter’ and in doing so link your Twitch account, which will then allow you to RSVP to events.
Do I need to be a streamer to attend?
Everyone in the community is welcome our events - viewers, streamers, affiliates, partners and all. However, you must have a Twitch account in order to claim a ticket.
How old do I have to be to attend?
**Our Winter 2019 event will be 18+ only. Please bring ID with you in case you need to prove your age.**
Each event could have different age limits as these are often set by our venues rather than our own general rules. Make sure to check the On-The Day page for event-specific rules.
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets to our events are FREE OF CHARGE and always will be. Our events are made possible by our wonderful Sponsors, and now by anyone from the community willing to get involved, via our shiny new Patreon page!
I’ve RSVP’d but haven’t received my ticket?
Please make sure to check your Junk/Spam folder if you haven’t received your confirmation email and ticket. You will need your ticket to enter the event even if you have RSVP’d.
What is Patreon and how does it work?
Our Patreon page allows members of the community to pledge a certain amount per month to our London MeetUps to help support the continuation of the events.
You do not have to be a Patron to come to an event, but if you do decide to contribute, your generous donation will be rewarded with perks such as free swag, early access to events, and even invitations to exclusive VIP events. For more details, check it out!
Who do I contact about accessibility requirements?
Can I vlog/IRL stream at the event?
We politely ask our attendees to refrain from doing both of these things.
Is there a dress code?
Unless stated for a specific event, there’s no dress code. Just make sure you’re comfortable, and be aware that you might want to take some pictures to remember the event! Points will be awarded for wearing our Merch, though…
